NOPE
NOPE
The movie NOPE, directed by Jordan Peele, is an ambitious and visually stunning film that unfortunately falls short of its potential. While the movie shows well-written characters and stunning CGI, it suffers from pacing issues that cause it to drag at times. The story, centred around a mysterious event plaguing a small town, keeps audiences intrigued initially but loses momentum as it unfolds.
Despite the film's promising build-up, the ending ultimately feels slightly anticlimactic, which left me wanting more resolution or a stronger emotional payoff. The movie's strengths lie in its thought-provoking concepts and Peele's ability to create an unsettling atmosphere. The stunning CGI adds to the visual spectacle, enhancing the sense of unease. However, these positive elements aren't enough to outweigh the pacing issues and underwhelming conclusion in my opinion. Overall, it is an okay film with notable aspects, but it falls short of its potential, earning it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.
