I'm William Russell, a Nottingham-based Production Designer and multidisciplinary creative working across set design, prop making, and graphic design for film and television. With a strong foundation in art department practices, I focus on creating immersive, period-accurate environments that support and elevate visual storytelling.
My strengths lie in set dressing, prop sourcing, and crafting detailed graphic elements, with technical skills in Photoshop and video editing. I have a particular passion for designing within historical and retro time periods — especially the 1970s–80s — but my work spans the 20th century, from early 1900s realism to stylised late-century worlds.
Outside of production, I shoot film photography and collect vintage technology and design objects — a habit that often informs and inspires the tactile, character-driven spaces I create on screen. I’m always looking to collaborate on projects that value strong visual identity and considered world-building.
